Weblog Award Notes

The Best Campaign Blog category has been dropped, leaving us with a mere 45 categories...

The Best Campaign Blog category was a new addition to The Weblog Awards this year, and after checking the nomination I wasn't convinced that we would have been able to field a good slate of finalists for the category. We'll keep the category in mind for future editions.

Sniff! No Campaign Blog but maybe next year you could have a Best Laundry Lint Blog category. Few people know about the fascinating world of laundry lint. I mean, laundry lint comes in such a wide variety of colors and materials. It could be red cotton or blue wool or whatever. A Best Laundry Lint Blog would fulfill the endless fascination that laundry lint has for the connoisseurs of this field.

It seems to me that a campaign blog is rather limited to the season, and once the elections are finished the campaign blogs either go on to other subjects or go dormant anyhow.

That's why I submitted a blog that just got started for 2008, lol. I figured it'd be the only one in the category with any new content.

Welcome to The 2006 Weblog Awards!
