I'll nominate the podcast we produce at National Journal's Technology Daily: Tech Policy Pod. It is based on our "Executive Summary" and recaps the top tech policy and political news each week.
I nominate DoubleSpeak! Twin brothers Matthew and Peter Slutsky and Producer Josh Skaroff toured the country over 11,000 miles this election cycle interviewing the top Democratic candidates in over 20 states! There was no more "hard core" podcasting team out there and the show, NPR's "Car Guys" meets "This American Life", was extremely well produced.
Check it out and I hope you'll consider this new media project for best podcast.
Ok, I won't be shy! Here are two podcasts I'm partial to, from my site, The Zen Cabin.
The Problem of Peace - Some comedy sketch material, some serious discussion about Mankind and Peace - Tao Te Ching, Albert Schweitzer, I crank on Jonah Goldberg and play some Spice Girls.
90 Degrees of Observation - I talk about my experience with Depression, as a practice run to get help.
The best! Right now he has series going on WWI, pirates, emperors, the Byzantine empire, (in)famous mistresses...you name it. Quite an education just listening to him for a month. He sells CDs of his podcasts, too. Hours upon hours!
