Nominations - Best Military Blog
Nominate your choice for Best Military Blogbog. Blogs by members of the armed forces, or blogs that primarily deal with military issues are appropriate for this category.
A couple of notes:
- You can nominate yourself; don't be shy.
- The number of nominations a blog receives is irrelevant. One nomination is enough...
- In some cases the list of finalists may contain sites not publically nominated.
- This contest is about fun - find some new blogs to read by following the links.

Unless you login via Typekey, your comments may be moderated. Due to the volume of comments, it may take up to 24 hours to approve your comment. Typekey authenticated comments will be published immediately. Update (Nov. 25): Nominations are closed. Keep checking The 2006 Weblog Awards homepage for news on finalist, linking, and voting. The voting will commence the first week of December, so keep spreading the word. In the mean time you can also join us in The Weblog Awards forum to discuss the nominees, or do some campaigning.

I really enjoy and look forward to bouhammer's blogs and if he is on a mission; I can't wait until he returns so we can see that he is safe again. His blogs are so informative and educational for us back in the U.S. that otherwise would have no idea what our troops are going through over there. He keeps us posted as to what life is like for our brave troops that are sacrificing so much for us to have freedom because freedom is NOT FREE!
Posted by Carol Steward | November 23, 2006 9:37 PM
I vote for Bouhammer's Afghanistan Blog as NUMBER 1!! He provides the readers with enough information to understand what life is like for the ANA and also for our troops while still maintaining security. He is the BEST!!

I vote for Bouhammer's blog because it gives me real information, a look into the life of those serving and protecting freedom in a time of war. He tells it like it is. You get a no frills report. Plus this is a fact based blog to make the danger real to those of us who have never been in the military. I appreciate his insight regarding the locals and how they behave towards the soldiers. War is not always easily protrayed. But Bouhammer tells it like it is. I can be there and still be in the safety of the freedom here in the USA because of him and all the others that serve to protect that right. The cost of Freedom comes at a high price! All give some and some give all!

Troys blog is the very best! WELL WRITTEN and ez to follow. He shares info from the war that most Americans know absolutely nothing about. We do not normally read blogs in this house, but we never miss Troys. Great Job Guy!!!!!
